Notlar This letter is a response to Government commands, dated 1 October, which informed William Bruce that some tents had been supplied to HMS Topaze, on the expedition against Mocka in November 1820. The commands also relayed a request from the Governor in Council, Mountstuart Elphinstone, for Bruce to report on what had become of the tents. Bruce responds by stating that previous to the Topaze'sdeparture from Mocka a number of tents were sent from there to the Honourable Company ship Ernad[?], for the purpose of being returned to the stores. Bruce adds that some of the tents were reportedly lost over board. | 2 folios | more | less
