Notlar Mirza Mehedy Ally Khaun [Mirza Mahdi 'Ali Khan Bahadur], Native Resident, Bushire, reports that the Viperarrived at Bushire on 17 March 1802 and will leave for Bussora [Basra] today. He goes on to provide information that arrived with the Viper, such as the whereabouts of Jonathan Duncan, Governor of Bombay, who is not expected at the Presidency until after the rains. Enclosed with the letter is a statement concerning the bales that were damaged on board the Diamondand left at Bushire by mistake. This statement does follow on from the letter, but it is dated 26 March 1802, so it has been treated as a separate item (see ff 8-9). | 1 folio | more | less
