Notlar	The letter alludes to events resulting in the failure of a reestablishment of friendship between Shaikh Abdool Russool and the Imam of Muscat, and Stannus' commitment to being of service to Shaikh Abdool Russool should he be favourably received. Stannus states his plans to travel to Kishim [Qeshm] to reestablish relations between the Imam and the British Government, on the receipt of a reply from Syed Saeed. \| 1 folio \| Foliation: This item has two different foliation sequences. The first is part of an original foliation sequence which was applied to the whole volume. It is written in ink and appears at the top left corner of the page. The second foliation number is a small pencil number enclosed in a circle which also appears in the top right (recto) corner only, this is the foliation number that has been used in referencing this item.Condition: The item has suffered from slight insect damage, but this does not affect the reading of the text. \| more \| less
