The file includes: extracts taken from the Persian diaries of the Bushire Residency and Consulate-General at Bushire; extracts from intelligence summaries and correspondence from the British Legation at Tehran and the British Consul at Meshed [Mashhad]; correspondence dated 1938 concerning the opening of a tunnel through the Candovan [Kandovān] Pass that connects Tehran to the Caspian Sea; correspondence and report extracts dated 1948/49 concerning the Zahidan [Zahedan] to Chahbahar (also spelt Chahbar [Chābahār]) and Chahbahar to Khwash roads.The file includes a divider, which gives a list of correspondence references contained in the file by year.
