Notlar The letter is enclosing a copy of a letter (not present) from Aga Mohumed Hussun, along with one enclosure:1. Translation of a letter from Nicholas Hankey Smith to Aga Mohumed Hussun, Tabreezee [Tabriz] dated 18 October 1807. The Resident is responding to a proposal to send an individual to collect intelligence from Tehran and Aderaejan and comments on French diplomatic efforts in Persia. He also addresses concerns surrounding the lack of a response to letters the recipient has sent to Jonathan Duncan, Governor of Bombay. Furthermore, the Resident promises to attempt to sort out the month's pension owed to Aga Mohumed Hussun by the English [British] Government. | 2 folios | Condition: The item has suffered from pest damage, which slightly obscures the address and some of the body of the letter. As a result some of the text is tricky to read in places. However, the intended recipient can still be clearly identified. | more | less
