Notlar The spoon has a circular bowl on the other side of which is an elaborately carved head of Bes covering the entire surface. The handle is short and tapers towards the rim. It has a design, possibly a lotus design, on the entire surface through which a groove runs. This together with two small holes on the outer surface of the bowl (which may, however, be modern) suggest that this was a cover or fitting of some larger object. On the other hand, the interior of the bowl shows very extensive traces of wear. The wood is a rich brown and remarkably light in weight. Condition: Outside of traces of wear, the spoon is in practically perfect condition. | more | less
