Notlar	Abstract: Abridgment of the author's Tahdhīb al-Tahdhīb, an abridgment of Tahdhīb al-kamāl fī maʻrifat al-rijāl, a summary by Jamāl al-Dīn Yūsuf ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān al-Mizzī (d. 742/1341) of al-Kamāl fī maʻrifat al-rijāl by Taqī al-Dīn al-Jammāʻīlī (d. 600/1203). According to the end of this copy, the abridgment was completed on 24 Jumādá al-Ākhirah 827 [1424] (see fol. 155a). Leaves are missing in this copy, between fol. 4 and 5 (corresponds to fol. 3 and 15 in the Arabic foliation in black ink), between fol. 11 and 12 (fol. 22 and 30 in the Arabic foliation), between fol. 15 and 16 (fol. 32 and 34 in the Arabic foliation), etc. \| Binding note: Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, with blind stamped and gold painted central mandorla and an outer border made of fillets and a s-shape running pattern. Re-used? fore-edge flap and envelope flap in red leather. Marbled paper with floral motif pastedown of upper and lower covers. \| Ms. codex. \| more \| less
