The author’s name and his home town of Moṣūl are mention on recto (line 9). The colophon is in Arabic script and the book itself is in Judaeo-Arabic. The Judaeo-Arabic orthography of the fragment exhibits features of early phonetic spelling, suggesting that the copy was made no later than the 10th century.
