Notlar	Letter informing Pelly that Lord Northbrook would not be taking any action regarding the Meywar [Mewār] Bheel Corps until Major John Campbell Gunning's report had been submitted.Also discussed is a letter received from Major Gunning regarding his appointment, and further correspondence with Major Charles Henry Clay regarding his impropriety in reflecting upon the Viceroy's appointment and exercise of patronage and stating that appointments in Mhairwarra [Merwāra] and Meywar were treated with differing circumstances and relied on Pelly's recommendations.The letter also discusses Lord Northbrook's thoughts on the current arrangement of Corps within Rajpootana [Rājasthān] and informing him that Charles Umpherston Aitchison would be sending him a copy of a paper on the Corps written in 1870. \| 4 folios \| more \| less
