Notlar Title from colophon., Photoreproduction of the original mushaf known as "Musḥaf Fāḍil Bāshā" or "Mushaf Fazıl Paşa" which is held in al-Ghāzi Khusrawbak library in Sarāy Būsnah (Sarajevo), capital of Bosnia and Hercegovina. This photoreproduction was funded by al-Shaykh Aḥmad Zakī Yamānī, president of al-Furqan Islamic Heritage Association in London. The original manuscript was donated by Muḥammad Fāḍil al-Mawlawī (known as Fāḍil Bāshā Sharīfūfītsh, d. 1882)--to Masjid al-Ghāzi Khusrawbak and its library for the reading and correction of qur'anic manuscripts and readings on the 20th of May 1872 (11th Rabīʿ al-Awwal 1289 H). It carries the number R.12 in al-Ghāzi Khusrawbak library and was copied by an immigrant from Dagestan in May/June 1849 from an old manuscript of Muḥammad ibn al-Tūntāsh ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Muqrī (al-Kātib al-Baghdādī) copied in 1186 for the depository of Sultan Abī Ṭālib Ṭughrul ibn Arslān ibn Ṭughrul al-Saljūqī. The manuscript contains a number of additional sections on the reading of the Qur'an, abrogation of verses, and other topics including excerpts from the works of al-Dānī, al-Suyūṭī, and Ibn al-Jazarī., Introduction also in Ottoman Turkish.
