Notlar	Ownership statement on folio 215b. Includes only the first maqālah on medicaments in alphabetical order of a comprehensive pharmacopoeia of simple and compound remedies in two sections. Dimensions of textblock: 21-22 x 10-11 cm. Written on paper, in Indian Naskh and Nastaliq; 25-27 lines per page; black ink with red rubrications. This treatise exists in a printed edition, in which this copy was not employed: ʻAlī ibn Husayn Ansārī Shīrāzī, Ikhtiyārāt-i Badi'ī, edited by Muḥammad Tāqī Mīr. Tehran, 1993. Ff. 215, Folios are wormed and water-stained. Treatise completed by Hājī Zayn al-'Attār in 1368-9 and dedicated to Malikah (princess) Badī' al-Jamāl, who is named in the title but of whom very little is known. Includes marginal annotations. Modern half-bound black leather binding, black cloth over-boards, red speckled on edges, stab sewn.
