Includes prefaces and indexes by Ibrāhīm. The thirteenth of 17 works printed by Ibrahim Müteferrika, "müteferrika" (house steward) to Sultan Ahmed III, and first printer of moveable Arabic type under Islamic auspices. Imprint taken from colophon. Caption title. Vol. has leather binding with flap, decorated with a diamond shaped embossed lozenge at centre of cover front and rear and scroll work around edges, in gold; text block outlined in red; hand-coloured frontispiece
Örnek Metin First of a trilogy of official Ottoman histories published by Ibrāhīm, this portion covering the years 1000 (1591/92) to 1070 (1659/60).! Muṣṭafá Naʻima, official historian, is considered the best and most accurate historiographer. Volume 1 covers 1001-1050 (1592-1640), while volume 2 covers 1051-1070 (1641-1659), and the supplement (leaves 712-726 in vol. 2) describes the revolution of 1115/1703 which overthrew Muṣṭafá II.
