BSB provenance: Eduard Glaser (1855-1908). - Munich, BSB., Contents: Questions to the Sassanid King Chosroes Anūširwān and his answers., Font: Medium-sized, very carefully written, fully dotted and vowelized Nasḫī., Binding: Light brown, stained, bumped leather binding with blind pressing and flap. A piece the size of a thumb joint has broken off the bottom edges of the lid (probably caused by rodents). Lid frame with multiple strips filled in the middle with a braided band pattern. Curved decorative pieces filled with flowers and tendrils in the corners. In the middle there is an analog filled multi-pass almond, which is surrounded by a four-circle pattern at the tips and sides. On the flap there is a corresponding decoration with a slightly smaller central ornament., Features: Framed by a gold strip surrounded by a blue line. The pages of the first and second opening are delicately ornamented: the three-line frontispiece in front of a polychrome background, which is structured by large spirals of flowers and tendrils. The framing of the writing surface (pages 1a, 1b-2a) by a gold-green strip, which is followed by a border. This is filled with floral heart-shaped motifs arranged in a row.
