Notlar This manuscript was composed by a friend of al-Ghali Ba, Abubakry Sy, who was an ambassador of Senegal in Nigeria back then. It contains two qasida poems totalling all 11 pages. The first is a praise poem to Prophet Muhammad and was completed on December 12, 1988. The second was also written in Nigeria in 1989. It covers the Senegal-Mauritania conflict that occured in 1989. Specifically, the poems discusses the violence that black Mauritanians endured during the conflict. Ce manuscrit a été composé par un ami d'al-Ghali Ba, Abubakry Sy, qui était alors ambassadeur du Sénégal au Nigeria. Il contient deux poèmes qasida totalisant les 11 pages. Le premier est un éloge au Prophète Muhammad et a été achevé le 12 décembre 1988. Le second a également été écrit au Nigeria en 1989. Il couvre le conflit Sénégal-Mauritanie survenu en 1989. Plus précisément, les poèmes parlent de la violence que les Mauritaniens noirs enduré pendant le conflit. Extent: 1 manuscript containg 11 pages. Size and dimensions of original material: Height 24cm, width 20cm, depth 0,5cm. Condition of original material: The manuscript was dusty before digitization, clearly legible, black ink on yellow papoer. Custodial history: Muhammad al Ghali Ba obtained the manuscript from the original author who was his friend and fellow disciple in Tijaniyya. He received many such manuscripts from people who needed his correction and comments. Upon Ba's death his brothers in Pate Galo inherited his entire library.
