Notlar Transliterated title: Araabukaŋ Kitaaboolu. Contains a collection of manuscripts, which were written on different types of papers and deal with a variety of subjects. The subjects discussed in the manuscripts include prayers and Arabic grammar. One manuscript deals with the Islamic version of creation, and discusses the creation of Adam and Eve, Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus, Muḥammad, and Noah and the years between them. It also deals with the number of animals that God created, the number of angels and stars, the creation of waters and the creatures that live within it, and the origin of Arabs and non-Arabs (Ajam), among other subjects. Custodial history: The owner received the documents from his father, El-hadji Kemo Drame, who wrote many of them. His father was born in Mankonomba in 1934 where he received his advanced Islamic education. He spent over fourty years in Ivory Coast, where he served as an Imam and farmer. Extent and format of original material: 189 pages. Physical characteristics: Unbound manuscript. Due to many ink stains, some words are difficult to read. Many pages are damaged on the sides. The writing on some pages is fading. There are signs of water damage on some pages. Owner(s) of original material: Aboubacar Drame. Author(s) of original material: El-hadji Kemo Drame.
