Cover made of paper and dluwang, no flap. Board inners lined with paper, link stitch on 5 stations. Endbands with stick core in two colours (blue and a lighter colour). Likely chequerboard pattern. Text block is European style laid paper with watermark, lion with sword in crowned circle, 'propatria eendragt maakt magt', counter mark: Van Gelder, a Dutch paper maker in Wormer or Apeldoorn (Voorn 1960, 433-439, 488), post 1803.
