Collection of instructive stories, divided into Sessions (مجلس), by Al-Moʿâfâ ibn Zakarîya al-Djarîrî, traditionist distinguished, died in 390 AH (1000 AD). (See the Biographical Dictionary of Ibn Khallikân, volume III, p. 374 of the English translation.) The present ms. contains the first five Sessions; but the beginning of the first and the end of the fifth are missing. Then comes the third section of the work (fol. 27), which begins with the twelfth Session and ends with the seventeenth. On fol. 67 begins the twenty-fourth Session and the volume ends with the twenty-ninth. The text is often devoid of diacritical points.
