Other file(s) linked to this institution: FRBAMCCFR-000060-01b.xml. Turkish writings in various hands, from the 17th-18th centuries. Astrological tables, with historical prolegomena of no importance, in which the last sultan of the house of Osman that we find cited (folio 3 recto) is Mourad III (982-1003 A.H. = 1574-1595). These tables (folio 17 verso) were calculated for the latitude of Constantinople, in a year 98., of which the unit figure is missing, i.e. a year between 1572 and 1581; they are written solely from the point of view of astrology and the prediction of future events; another work in Turkish, designed in exactly the same spirit, is found on folio 53 verso, also incomplete; a third treatise on astrology, in Turkish (folio 97 verso), without title or author's name, composed (folio 99 recto) during the reign of Sultan Mourad III (son of Sultan Selim II), son of Sultan Soleiman II; a fragment of an astrology treatise, in the same genre, in Arabic (folio 132 recto); the beginning of an astrology treatise, in Turkish, without title or author's name, incomplete from its end (folio 150 verso).. Renaudot.. Western binding, in calfskin.
