Notes
The entire collection burned during the fire of 1915. Other file(s) linked to this institution. “Manuscripted in Persian, in Neskhi writing, fine and careful, but erased in many passages, which makes reading difficult. “The subject of this pamphlet is not a treatise on friendship, as was written on the back of the first leaf, but a treatise on mysticism. The author, whose name is Mouhtadj' Ali ben Mohammed, gives in five very short chapters a summary of the rules on which the doctrine of the Sufis or dervishes of Persia is based. “The copy ends with the word sâl, year, topped with the numbers 131. It should probably read (the writing being very modern) 1301, which corresponds to the years 1883-1884 AD. » (Autograph note attached from Mr. Barbier de Meynard, director of the Special School of Modern Oriental Languages. January 1900.). Pin
