It was originally composed in Persian by Fakhr al-Dîn al-Râzî (Moḥammad ibn ʿOmar) and dedicated to Sultan ʿAlâ al-Dîn Moḥammad Khwârizm Schâh, son of Tukusch (تـكـش), who died in 596 AH. It was translated into Arabic by the author himself. The ms. is dated to the year 678 A.H. (1279 A.D.).
Sample Text This work, divided into nine chapters, deals with اخـتـيـارات or Elections, that is to say auspicious hours for undertaking a business. It was originally composed in Persian by Fakhr al-Dîn al-Râzî (Moḥammad ibn ʿOmar) and dedicated to Sultan ʿAlâ al-Dîn Moḥammad Khwârizm Schâh, son of Tukusch (تـكـش), who died in 596 AH. It was translated into Arabic by the author himself. The ms. is dated to the year 678 A.H. (1279 A.D.).
