The last date cited in the work is that of the year 968 AH (1561), in the biography of Sheïkh Daoud Khalifa, with which it ends; the translation is dedicated to Soleïman II (folio 3 verso); the author indicates neither his name nor the title he gave it; according to a note, written on the front of the first leaf, this version of the el-Shekaïk el-noʿmaniyye is very little known; it bears the title of مناقب العلما; it is the work of Mohammed ibn Sinan ed-Din Yousouf, who interpreted the text of Tashkeupruzade word for word, with the greatest fidelity; a biography of Tashkeupruzade can be read on this same leaf..
