The beginning of the manuscript: The sheikh, the jurist, Ahmad bin Idris Al-Maliki, known as Al-Qarafi, said: Praise is the explanation of what the word indicates in a general way, and it is not praiseworthy if I mean the word by it, and its essence is that I mean by it the meaning, and its condition is that it encompasses the totality of the individuals of the praiseworthy, preventing others from entering with it. Within this collection is the first book of it. He wrote the title and paragraph headings in red ink. The copy is very poor to read, as humidity and wetness have blurred its lines, letters, and words, and many of them are barely readable, especially the last ones. It has traces of earth, dampness, and wetness on it, with notes and warnings in the margins. End of the manuscript: God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs.
