Notes
A well-preserved copy. The preamble was decorated with gilded and colorful artistic decorations in geometric and floral shapes. The conclusion was also decorated with an artistic decoration that was repeated at the beginning of Surat Maryam, and the rest of the leaves were in gilded and colored tabulations. The names of the surahs were written in blue ink on a gilded ground within a rectangle, and in the margin the suns were repeated at each part and at the places of prostration. As for its cover, it is a beautifully crafted piece of art, with traces of fire visible on it, which are floral drawings. It is gilded on a black ground, surrounded by a wide frame inside which are written noble hadiths about the virtue of the Qur’an, in Diwani script, in white ink on a red ground, and its red leather heels are decorated with pressed drawings.
