God Almighty has granted me the grace to complete his reading and reach its conclusion, and it is the custom of our sheikhs... to read their chains of transmission... so I was honored to attend the lessons of a number of the master scholars of Damascus and the most important scholars who came there... the two famous hadith scholars Sheikh Muhammad Al-Kaziri and Sheikh Ahmed Al-Attar... ... some of the brothers asked me in the past to listen to Sahih al-Bukhari as I heard it from the sheikhs, so I hesitated to do so... but when I saw that knowledge had lost its waters due to the loss of men... I set out to achieve their goal. ... Oh God, accept us, accept our prayers, correct our living, and have mercy on our dead with the secret of Surat Al-Fatiha.
