The copy is the fourth part of a ten-part division. | The last dictation by Imam al-Bukhari for his Sahih was in Bukhara in the year 252 AH, and the dictation before that was in February in the year 248 AH. Since his last dictation is considered a final highlight of the book, we have adopted it as the year of his writing, and some researchers have indicated that the year of his writing of the book is the year 232 AH. | “From the chapter on farming to the end of the chapter on dividing the spoils in his conquest and travel.”

Chapter on sharecropping and the like. Qais bin Muslim said on the authority of Abu Jaafar that he said, “There are no people in the city of Hijrah who do not farm on a third and a quarter.” The farms of Ali, Saad bin Malik, Abdullah bin Masoud, Omar bin Abdul Aziz, Al-Qasim, Urwa, the family of Abu Bakr, the family of Omar, the family of Ali, and Ibn Sirin... ... Chapter on dividing the spoils in his invasion and travel. Rafi’ said, “We were with the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, in Dhul-Hulayfah, so we captured wild animals and sheep, so he counted ten, so he counted ten of them.” Sheep with a camel. Hadba bin Khalid told us... The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, performed Umrah at Al-Ja’ranah, where he divided the spoils of Hunayn. The end of the fourth part...
