Notes Prayer, which is considered the pillar of religion in Islam and enables the servant to meet his Lord without any intermediaries, has an important function in the construction of a spiritually strong and decent society. In line with the common understanding of jurisprudence, it is essential that each of the obligatory prayers be performed within the specific time period determined for it, however, Hz. Some practices attributed to the Prophet and his companions have brought about some debates, especially regarding the issue of combining certain obligatory prayers in one time. This study deals with the issue of why prayers can be combined in general and in the context of modern conditions, from a fiqh perspective.
