Sefîrî wrote his work called el-Mecâlisü'l-va'ziyye fî şerhi ehâdîsi hayri'lberiyyemin Sahîhi'l-İmâmi'l-Buhârî in the tenth century hijri, in a period when commentary literature had reached perfection. In addition to being a book of sermons and guidance, the work also has a partial commentary character. The author tried to annotate some hadiths he selected from al-Câmi'u-s-sahîh under the name of "assembly/session".
