Notes
In this study, we tried to examine what the concept is in terms of Avicenna's Logic. We tried to see what the concept is from different aspects. First, we discussed the importance or place of the concept in the science of Logic. After this, we discussed the levels of the concept. In other words, we examined the conceptual styles realized by definitional and descriptive words. Regarding this, we examined the status of the essential and accidental predicates that constitute the definition and description in terms of what. After this, we tried to show the logical relations between concept, definition and whatness under the first two headings. Here we have tried to prove that these three are one and the same in one respect. In the fifth title of the study, we tried to prove in what way the concept is a unity of existence and whatness, both by taking into account the content in the first four titles and by introducing a new content. In the sixth title of the research, we discussed the essential scientific questions, those who ask about the concept, and also the order of the questions in the research of the concept. Here we also tried to briefly prove that the concept can only be possible by defining the essence of something that exists. Under the seventh and eighth headings, we mentioned the concept as a style principle of knowledge and judgment.
