Notes
The concept of Islamic sciences and Islamic sciences not only defines the academic structuring of the faculties of Theology operating under the umbrella of modern universities, but is also included in the education and training programs of the relevant academic units. The fact that the disciplines that make up the Islamic sciences (theology, tafsir, hadith, fiqh/Islamic law, etc.) are referred to with the same concepts as they are defined in the traditional literature has been the subject of debate from time to time. Those who oppose the preservation of classical nomenclature advocate viewing this type of knowledge as a new discipline. On the other hand, one of the important issues that is emphasized is whether the traditional methods and goals followed in these sciences will be preserved in the same way. In this article, attention will be drawn to the ancient problems regarding the origin, legitimacy and method of Islamic sciences, and the problems faced by these sciences in modern times will be discussed. The social and mental transformations caused by the paradigm shifts in the world in the Muslim world will be discussed and the effects of this process on Islamic sciences will be examined.
