Notlar	The wellbeing of society has a close relationship with individual capacity building in a quality family institution. In this context, Islam emphasizes good deeds of a child towards the parents. Relatively, the mass media have reported on various issues of persons with disabilities (OKU), including the issue of abandonment by their normal children. Accordingly, this article will analyze the services or the favours given by a child to his visually impaired or blind parent or parents. The analysis is focused on the consistency of their services with the Islamic guidelines. It will focus on the execution of the service in few aspects; namely in helping the disabled parents in exercising religious duties, assisting in meeting the daily needs as well as in fulfilling the wishes and demands of the parents. The study was conducted in Taman Rahmat in Terengganu State, Malaysia, which is the residential area for the disabled community. A total of 34 informants from 15 families have been selected through purposive sampling and snowball. The study was conducted using qualitative method by means of interviews and observations. The findings show that there are services towards the parents which are realized in accordance to Islamic demands and there are also some other aspects of the services which are not parallel to Islamic teachings.
