"A catalogue of the 1836 manuscript of James Skinner's Tazkirat al-umarā, which describes the Sikh, Muslim, and Hindu ruling families of Northern India. This Tazkira is the last of the three illustrated copies commissioned by Skinner. It contains an account of the rulers of Bharatpur and an illustration of the adolescent Maharaja Balwant Singh which appear in neither of the copies held by the Chester Beatty Library and British Library"--Bernard Quaritch website. Text: v pages, 2 unnumbered pages, 25 pages, 4 unnumbered pages; Illustrations: 4 unnumbered pages, 39 leaves of plates, 2 unnumbered pages. "Seventy-five numbered copies of the catalogue are offered for sale"--Bernard Quaritch website. The 39 plates, with captions in Persian, have descriptive text on versos in English and Persian.
