At the time of the letter Taylor was back in East Africa for his third and final tour (Yahya & Frankl, 1994). An invitation to Taylor to attend a karamu ‘feast’ followed by matezo ‘entertainment’ at the hst’s kiungani ‘orchard’ called Dar-es-Salaam. ( en )
