As for the first, because if it were possible, it would be permissible for it to occur in eternity - fol.138b.11: Whatever the edges of these lines of sight apply to is perceived by sight, and what falls between their edges is not, and therefore some parts of visible objects may be hidden from sight, and it is said that it is by the emergence of a straight, radial line. From sight to the object of sight, it moves along its surface with extreme speed, both in length and breadth, and perception occurs. |
