Notlar This booklet has been written to refute the objections of Wahhabism and other schools of thought influenced by it, and to dispel the doubts and confusions that have troubled the public. According to the author, these objections were related to practices that people had been observing in their homes and among their elders, but which were suddenly labeled as bidʻah (innovation) and shirk (polytheism). Qurʾanic verses and hadith (sayings of the Prophet) began to be cited against them. The author has provided evidence from the books of various scholars to prove the validity of dhikr jahr (vocal remembrance) and to counter the claim that it is an innovation. Similarly, the author discusses the states of spiritual ecstasy during dhikr (remembrance), including weeping, wajd (spiritual ecstasy), and raqs (spiritual dance), and presents scholarly opinions based on the Qurʾan, hadith, and other sources on these practices. Additionally, the book discusses the virtues of the Prophet’s lineage, the purity and nobility of the lineages of the Prophets (peace be upon them), and the excellence of being related to the Prophet. Following this, there is a section on the Barelwi school of thought, detailing its origins and the differences in the interpretation of hadith regarding the Companions and the family of the Prophet. The author attributes these differences to the tendency of one group towards Shiʿism and another towards the Kharijites. The book then critiques the discord and strife that arose from the teachings of Mawlana Ismaʿil Dihlawi and Muhammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhab Najdi, as well as from the book Taqwiyat al-Iman. It addresses the denial of traditional practices, the rejection of taqlid (following a legal school), the new interpretations of tawhid (monotheism), and the disputes regarding the esteemed status of the Prophet. The book also refutes the denial of the miracles and authority of ʿAbd al-Qadir Gilani and the materialistic tendencies of this new school of thought, cautioning the public not to be deceived by them, as many of these people claim to follow the Hanafi school and even disguise themselves as followers of the tariqah (spiritual path). At the end of the book, endorsements from various esteemed scholars and intellectuals are provided, including Mawlana Hamdullah Daghi Mardan, Mawlana Hamd al-Dajuwi of Madrasah Mazhar al-ʿUlum, Haji Nur Ahmad Shah Arghandabi, Muhibbullah Akhundzad Zabli, among others.
