Notlar	في أواخر العهد العثماني و مطلع عهد إمارة شرق الأردن ؛ إذ تلقي هذه السجلات الضوء على العمران و على تركيبة السكان و فعالياتهم، و تبين العلاقة بين الإدارة (الحكم المحلي) و الأهالي، و قد استخدم أقدم سجل بلدي لمعان في جنوبي الأردن، و ذلك بعد مرور أربعة أعوام على ضم معان إلى إمارة شرقي الأردن، و أمكن من خلاله دراسة الأوضاع الاقتصادية و الاجتماعية في قصبة معان، وعلاقة البلدية بالأهالي و دورها في تحسين الأوضاع الصحية و الاقتصادية في مطلع عهد إمارة شرقي الأردن. The registers of the resolutions of municipal councils are among the most important sources for the study of the urban centers in Jordan at the end of the Ottoman period and the beginning of the Emirate of Transjordan. These registers shed light on the culture, structure and activities of the population and clarify the relationship between the local government administration and the population. I used the earliest municipal register of Ma‘an in southern Jordan, which began four years after Ma‘an became part of the Emirate of Transjordan. From them it was possible to study the economic and social conditions in the city of Ma‘an and the relationship of the municipality with the population and its role in improving health and economic conditions at the beginning of the Emirate of Transjordan.
