Notes Throughout history, we find many examples of thinkers who attempted to reform their societies. The beginning of the twentieth century witnessed the emergence of “Badi al-Zaman Said al-Nursi,” the most prominent scholar of religious reform, who tried to develop a reform approach consistent with what society had reached. He first lived through the Ottoman Empire with its Islamic caliphate, then he lived through the Society of Union and Progress, which seized power in Turkey and worked to end the Islamic caliphate. He took it upon himself to save the faith and strengthen his countrymen’s connection to the Holy Qur’an, through messages of light and in Within the framework of this, the research includes the following elements: First: In which we presented the most important political circumstances that affected Saeed Al-Nursi. Secondly: We raised a question about his reformist approach in the Epistles of Light and the extent of his agreement and similarity with some of his contemporaries. Third: I presented the most important points that Nursi focused on in order to reform society. Conclusion
