Notlar	Anonymous treatise on the construction and use of the sine quadrant (الربع المجيّب). The copy was completed at Hyderabad Deccan on 18 Ramaḍān 1066/30 June 1656 (see colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text. , f. 67r, line 15, transcribed below) Qubād ibn ‘Abd al-Jalīl al-Ḥārithī al-Badakhshī (قباد بن عبد الجليل الحارثي البدخشي, d. 1083/1672-3) completed collating the text with its exemplar on 26 Ramaḍān 1066/8 July 1656 at Hyderabad Deccan (see collation note in edge margin, f. 77r). One quire Collection of papers folded in half and stitched together to form a gathering of folios. of the text (ff. 61r-67r) has been bound out of order. This should follow after a missing table (جدول) announced at the end of f. 77r. The collection of fifty-four tables at the end of the treatise (ff. 79v-106r) is announced at the end of the text (f. 67r, line 14, transcribed below) as a 'collection of laws' (دستور). Contents: Introduction: Establishing the Table and Related Matters (مقدمة في إنشاء الجدول وما يتعلق بذلك, f. 68v, lines 16-18); Chapter One: The Principals (?) and Related Matters (الباب الأول في الـ[ـبـ]ـسائط وما يتعلق بها, 68v, line 18-74v, line 23); Chapter Two: Setting the Declinations (الباب الثاني في معرفة وضع المنحرفات, ff. 74v, line 23-77r, line 8; ff. 61r, line 1-67r, line 14; and ff. 79v-106r); Tables and diagrams: 1) Two incomplete tables of azimuths (سموت) for various latitudes (عروض, f. 70r); 2) Table of azimuths (سموت) for various latitudes (عروض) useful for calculating the time of afternoon prayer (عصر, f. 71v); 3) Collection (دستور, see f. 67r, line 14, transcribed below) of fifty-four tables, some incomplete (ff. 79v-106r). Begins (f. 68v, lines 2-4): الحمد لله الذي أمد البسيطة بظل إنعامه الوريف وجعل النفوس الأنبذ قائمة بطاعته مائلة إلى دينه الحنيف وأظهر لأحبابه شموس السعادة من أفلاك الإرادة على بصائرهم ... Ends (f. 67r, lines 10-14): ... واعلم أنه متى وافق سمت العصر سمت الحائط في جهته معًا وزاد عليه في الكم أو خالفه في جهتيه معًا ونقص عند (!) في الكم أو وافقه في الجنوب أو الشمال وخالفه في التشريق والتغريب فليس للشمس شعاع على وجه الحائط وقت العصر في ذلك المدار وهذه صفة دستور جدول قوس العصر لانحراف لز ولانحراف ك جنوبي والمحتاج إليه منه في الرسم الظل الواقع والسمت فقط يليه الدستور Colophon Section at the end of a manuscript text.
