Notlar Following the introduction, the text presents the genealogy of the Prophet Muḥammad beginning with Adam, before turning to a discussion of the various categories of sayyids. The discussion includes citations from a number of texts including the Kitāb sharaf al-sādāt (also known as the Manāqib al-sādāt) of Shihāb al-Dīn ʿUmar Dawlatābādī (d. 1445) and a treatise (risālah) attributed a certain Mawlānā Ḍiyāʾ al-Dīn, most likely referring to Ḍiyāʾ al-Dīn Baranī (d. after 1357), who is cited in the work of Dawlatābādī. The text then presents the genealogy of Sayyid Shāh Malang through the Prophet Muḥammad and back to Adam.
