Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red to overline the commented text and for entries. The text is framed within a single line in red ink. European paper with watermark. Table of contents in a grid in red ink on fol. Bb-Da. Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (starts with "1" on the sixth leaf). Modern foliation in pencil (counting the first five leaves as fol A-E; this record follows this latter foliation)., Collation: Paper, fol. 188 ; 1⁴ 2-18¹⁰ 19¹⁴ ; the last word of each verso is repeated on the next recto., Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Uṣūl 71". [1748] by Ḥusayn ibn ʻUmar ibn Ibrāhīm al-Dabbāghī al-mansūb bi-On īkī Dīwānī, in Qusṭanṭinīyah, in the madrasat al-sulṭān Muḥammad Khān (fol. 182a)., Copyist: Ḥusayn ibn ʻUmar ibn Ibrāhīm al-Dabbāghī., Incipit: حامدا لله تعالى اولا وثانيا ولعنان الثناء اليه ثانيا وعلى افضل رسله واله مصليا وفي حليته الصلوات مجليا ومصليا وبعد فان العبد المتوسل الى الله تعالى باقوى الذريعة عبيد الله بن مسعود بن تاج الشريعة سعد جدّه وانجح جده يقول لما وفقنى الله تعالى بتاليف تنقيح الاصول اردت ان اشرح مشكلاته وافتح مغلقاته معرضا عن شرح المواضع, Explicit: حرمة لا يحتمل السقوط وحرمة يحتمل السقوط لكنهما لم تسقطا وهما حق الله تع م ويجب الضمان لوجود العصمة والله ولى العصمة والتوفيق | Quarter bound with flap in yellow paper and brown leather.
