Notlar Vol. I of a collection on the virtues of some of the Muslim saints and Ṣūfīs. | Collation: Paper ; fol. 74 + 1 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Description: Rubricated ; alternating cream and brown paper ; MS in good condition but several folios are worm-eaten and mended., Layout: 14-16 lines per page., Marginal notes. In the colophon the copyist states that the copy from which MS was made had no beginning and that he supplied it for the present copy. Evidently the first three folios do not belong to the book. On folio 1 appears the beginning which was supplied by the copyist; on folios 2 and 3, a prayer of 40 lines containing the 99 names of God, the title of a book, al-Zahr al-fāyiḥ min waṣf man tanazzahā ʻan al-dhunūb wa-al-qabāyiḥ, by Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Sāyiḥ, and sayings by ʻAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib and Ibn ʻAṭāʼ Allāh., Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1a)., Colophon: تم الجزء الاول من مناقب الابرار يتلوه ان شاء الله تعالى الجزو الثاني والحمد لله رب العالمين والنسخة الذي کتب منها هذا الجزو ومحرومة من اولها لم يوجد لها اول والناسخ عمل لها اول الى ان يقع لها اول والله الموفق بمنه وکرمه وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد واله وصحبه وسلم, Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم. الحمد لله الذي لا واضع لما رفع | Later type II (with flap) binding in red leather and brown and blue marbled paper.
