Notlar Commentary on al-Mughnī fī uṣūl al-fiqh by al-Khabbāzī (d. 691/1292). | Ms. codex., Title supplied by cataloger. The name of the author appears in the preamble as Abū Muḥammad Manṣūr ibn Aḥmad ibn Muʼayyad al-Khwārizmī al-Qāʼānī (fol. 2a, l. 7). It also appears in a note by a later hand on fol. 1a and on the tail of the text block., 21 lines per page. Written in medium small square naskh in black ink with use of red. Cream glossy paper with laid lines visible. Fol. 1 apparently two pages pasted together. Ḥāshiyah and collation notes on the margins, apparently by the same hand as the main text. Last fol. mended, with lost text recopied on the repair. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a, including a Kabīkāj and table of contents. Inscriptions and naive drawing on the pastedown of the upper cover. Inscription in red pencil in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Uṣūl 2". Inscription in black ink Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 60"., Copy completed on [2 D]hū al-Ḥijjah 842 [May 16, 1439] (colophon, fol. 286a)., Incipit: الحمد لله الذي تجلى على بعض عباده الخلصين المخلصين عن شرك الشرك الخفى باسمه الواسع العليم وحلى ظواهرهم وبواطنهم بالتجليات العرفانية القرانية ... [2أ] ... وبعد فيقول العبد ... منصور بن احمد ... القاآني كما كان المومنون اخوة والاخوة تقتضى الشفقة والايثار ... [3ب] ... باب الامر قدم الشيخ باب الامر والنهي على ساير الابواب اعتناء بشانهما لانها مدار التكليف, Explicit: جعلهما مجازا عنها اولى من جعلهما مجازا عن غيرها والله اعلم بالصواب احمد الله تعالى واشكره ... على الايه والصلوه على نبيه محمد واله | Marbled paper with floral decor in dark green, light green and cream pasted over pasteboards for upper and lower covers and envelope flap.
