The name of the son is illegible in the text (possibly Yūsuf ʿAlī Khān, ruler of Shughnān from 1871-83). The text traces the genealogy of this figure back through the figure of Shāh Khāmūsh and thence to the Prophet Muhammad. \| Month of Muḥarram; the year is given but is illegible; probably late nineteenth century, based on the content, Incipit: یا فتاح العلیم .بسم الله الرحمن الرحیم الحمد لله رب العالمین والعاقبة للمتقین و الصلات و السلام علی محمد و آله و اصحابه اجمعین, Explicit: تحریر فی تاریخ یوم شهر المحرم الحرام فی سنۀ ....راقمه فقیر الحقیر التقسیر ... قطمیرحاجی الحرمین, Red and green borders and text boxes are present throughout the original document. There is a simple floral ornamentation present on the header of the document., Original document is in very poor condition. There is extensive tearing and damage to the paper, which significantly affects the legibility of the text. In addition, the ink of the text is smudged in some places, including the title of the text. The document appears to have initially been very carefully prepared and written in a fine hand.
