Notlar A portion of the famous compendium of sciences known as Rasāʼil Ikhwān al-Ṣafāʼ. This manuscript contains parts of the first ten risālahs. | Ms. codex., Title from title page (fol. 1b)., A few marginal lines. In the colophon the work is attributed to Ibn al-Qāsim Maslamah ibn Aḥmad, known as al-Majrīṭi, 398 [1007/8]. This is obviously a mistake, since the work is of composite authorship. al-Majrīṭi, however, is associated with the introduction of the work into Spain. Long inscription labelled "Ḥāshiyah wāqiʻah ʻalá ʻibārat Qāḍī [obscured]" (fol. 1a). Description of contents (fol. 1b)., Collation: Paper ; fol. iii + 80 + iii ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Layout: 21 lines per page., Description: Watermarks ; MS in fair condition., Origin: According to the colophon copy completed 22 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1127 by ʻAbd al-Qādir ibn Ṣafāy Chalabī ibn Ṭāhā Afandī (fol. 80a)., Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه نستعين ... الحمد لله الذي لا تحسن [الاشياء] الا ان يكون بدوها بحمده ... وبعد فاعلم انه لما كان من مذهب طالبى العلم النظر فى جميع علوم الموجود ..., Colophon:[ وهذا اخر ما يسره المهيمن من تحرير اخوان الصفا للامام ابي القاسم الاندلسي رحمه الله تعالى لقد وقع الفراغ من کتابة هذا الکتاب الشريف على يد احقر العباد واحوجهم الى [الله] تعالى عبد القادر بن صفاي چلبي بن طه افندي القاضي في الليلة الثانية والعشرين من شهر ذي الحجة المبارك الشريف ليلة لخميس في سادس ساعة من الليل في سنة الف ومائة وسبعة وعشرين من سني الهجرة المعظمة. على صاحبها افضل [السلام والتحية | Modern binding. | Ownership signature: Mullā Aḥmad ibn Mullā Maḥmūd al-Kabīsī[?], Imām Jāmiʻ Qabr ʻAlī dated 1246 (fol. 1b).
