A commentary on the authorʼs own Badīʻīyah, which was composed in praise of the Prophet and which illustrates various poetical forms. Contains a diagram., 2. fol. 43b-86b: al-Ḥimāyāt al-Badīʻīyah fī madḥ khayr wa-sharḥahā / naẓm Ismāʻīl ibn Abī Bakr al-Muqrī al-Ashʻarī? al-Shāwirī. An ode in praise of the Prophet with the author's commentary. The author composed it as a rival ode to the preceding work. | Later? type III (without flap) in red leather. Blind-tooled edging. Blue paper pastedowns and yellow flyleaves. Endbands. | Ownership signatures: Muḥammad ibn Muṣṭafá al-Shaʻrāwī, Yaḥyá ibn Ṣāliḥ ibn Yaḥyá, and an obscured name (fol. 1a).
