Marginal annotations. Several inscriptions, including short excerpts, on fol. 1a., Ijāzah dated Rabīʻ II 9-3 on fol. 58a-b. Ijāzah signed Muḥammad ibn Ramaḍān al-Ḥanafī, dated Madrasah al-... (in Damascus added by another hand on the margin), Dhū al-Qaʻdah 879 on fol. 59a., Copy completed on 13 Rajab 872 [Feb. 7, 1468] by Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad al-Zuhayrī al-Ḥanafī (colophon, fol. 57b)., Incipit: قال الشيخ العلامة حافظ الدين ابو البركات عبد الله بن احمد بن محمود النسفى رحمه الله الحمد لله الذي هدانا الى الصراط المستقيم والصلوة على من اختصّ بالخلق العظيم وعلى اله الذين قاموا بنصرة الدين القويم اعلم انّ اصول الشرع ثلاثة الكتاب والسنّة واجماع الامة والاصل الرابع القياس, Explicit: وحرمة تحتمل السقوط لكنها لم تسقط بعدد الكرة واحتملت الرخصة ايضا ... ولهذا اذا اصبر في هذين القسمين حتى قتل صار شهيدًا \| Paper with gold arabesques on a red(?) ground pasted on paper pasteboards for upper and lower cover and envelope flap.
