Additions on upper and lower pastedowns include a story about the Prophet, a record of the birth of Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Khaṭīb Yāsīn on 24 Shawwāl 1053 [January 5, 1644] and that of his sister Fāṭimah, and a comment about the book., Collation: Paper ; fol. 307 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals., Description: Rubricated ; vowel signs ; MS in fair condition but several folios are worm-eaten and mended., In Ḥājjī Khalīfah, Kashf al-ẓunūn (1835-58), II, p. 639 is a reference to a work entitled Jawāhir al-aḥādīth by Abū ʻAbd Allāh Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-Iqlīdī al-Fārisī., Layout: 14 lines per page., Ms. codex., Title from heading (fol. 1a)., Colophon: [كبات فيه خلق] فاقتلهم واحدا بعد واحد ولم يلحق بها احد -- [الجواهر] تم کتاب الجواهر بمن الله وکرمه ونسأل الله العظيم بجاه سيد المرسلين ان يغفر لکاتبه ولمن, Incipit: [كبات فيه خلق] بسم الله ... الحمد لله الذي خلق الانسان من الطين -- [الجواهر] بسم الله ... الحمد لله الذي جعل الصلاة على نبيه المختار | 1. fol. 1a-116a: Kitāb fīhi khalq Ādam wa-Ḥawwá., 2. fol. 116a-307b: Kitāb al-Jawāhir fī al-ḥadīth. | Contemporaneous? type III (without flap) binding in dark brown leather and paper.
