First volume of a commentary on the Qurʼān, comprising the text up to the end of Sūrah 18. | Ms. codex., Title from colophon (fol. 138b)., Physical description: 26 lines per page. Written in small to medium small naskh in black ink. Dark cream paper, glossy, with laid lines visible. Ḥāshiyah on the margin. Majority of quaternions; catchword on the verso of each leaf. Foliation in Arabic numerals. Stained with humidity., Two spine labels. One with title in Arabic script, reading: "Tafsīr Jawāmiʻ al-jāmiʻ j 1", the other with inscription in Roman script, reading: "Y27 1" (repeated on a label pasted on the pasted down of the upper cover)., Origin: According to colophon, copy completed during the last night (salkh) of Dhū al-Ḥijjah 743 [May 1343] (fol. 138b)., Incipit: In the name of...
