This magico-religious text is a poda (instruction) which appears to be directed at the chiefs (portahi) and deals with “the great custom” (bisara na godang) which usually is a war waged with the weapons of magic, but in this case bisara na godang may actually refer to a real war – seen by the Batak as the ultimate form of divine judgement. On A6 one of these deities is described as “I am the World Calamity God who destroys the villages of our enemies”. A2:     Poda ni ... / ni portahi ta... / ma inon. bea hita dipadatuon... / k disanti asa dapama porta... / tan ta? inon ale datu nami o... / le. Poda ni suhat ni botan... / ...su[hu]ton di bi[sa]ra na godang iya suhat ... / holak si golomon... A4:     Ahu batara si / lungun di ba/nuwa surungun hosa / ni musuta raja ni ma na nondi sim[bo]ra di / bulung pe boti do. A6:     Ahu botara di long/long di banuwa. Long/longhon huta n/i musunta.
