Notlar	Brown leather binding, slightly damaged — Brown leather binding, slightly damaged — black — Arabic script → Nastaʽlīq — paper — Inshāʾ Allāh Ḵẖān, poetically surnamed Inshāʾ, was born in Murshidābād sometime between 1756-58 A. D. His father, Mīr Māshaʾ Allāh Ḵẖān, was а courtier of Nawāb Sirāj-ud-Daulah. After leaving Murshidābād, Inshāʾ lived for some time in Delhi and finally settled down in Lucknow. He attached himself first to the Court of Mirzā Sulaimān Shikoh and later on to the Court of Nawāb Saʿādat ʿAlī Ḵẖān. Here he lived a life of a very successful court-poet till he incurred the displeasure of his patron. He died in disgrace and was buried in Lucknow. He was a very prolific writer and left behind several works of importance. The present work contains only the Reḵẖtī collection of his poems – an art of poetry, whose language is peculiar to women.
