Notlar	Light brown Oriental quarter leather binding with fore-edge flap and envelope flap; covers, envelope flap and all of the doublures in paper — black, red — Arabic script → Naskh — paper — Commentary on the authors own didactic poem al-Badīʿīya dealing with about 150 kinds of rhetorical figures in 144 verses which Ibn al-Muqriʾ documents mainly using examples from al-Qaṣīdah al-Badīʿīyah by Ṣafī al-Dīn Abū al-Maḥāsin ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Sarāyā al-Ḥillī (d. 749/1348; EI2 VIII/801-805; GAL II/159-160 S II/199-200; Kaḥḥālah V/247; Zirklī IV/17-18). Ibn al-Muqriʾ composed the poem with commentary at the behest of the Rasūlid sultan al-Malik al-Nāṣir Aḥmad ibn Ismāʿīl ibn al-ʿAbbās (ruled 803-827/1400-1424; EI2 VIII/455). ff. 58a-60a: a list of metric forms in the hand of the copyist f. 57b: collation annotation
